December reads
Here is December 2025 reading wrap up and my reviews on them.
Starting with
💚 Assistant to the Villain by: Hannah Nicole Maehrer
⭐️rating: 3.75
This was an interesting take on the she’s sunshine he’s grumpy. The ending I almost had figured out but not sure I loved it enough to continue the series.
❤️ Two Can Play by: Ali Hazelwood
⭐️ rating: 4.0
This was a short one by her but still fun. Who game designers that have had a lot of time of longing for the other one. Perfect little have to work together fall in love situation.
💚 The Chemistry Test By: Georgina Frankie
⭐️rating: 3.75
This is a newer writer. Bones were there. Could use some work on keeping interest in the beginning but once we got to the middle to end and had some investment in the storyline and character it was a good well thought story. Really liked that the main female character had a chronic disability it opened up some very important conversations for those who have those struggles
❤️ Tender is the Flesh By: Augustina Bazterrica
⭐️rating: 3.25
This was bazaar
The ending blew me away I was not at all anticipating it! I will say I didn’t hate it and thinking about this type of dystopia is interesting always about a moral ambiguous story.
💚 Brimestone ( Fae & Alchemy no. 2)
⭐️rating: 3.75
This was an interesting story, definitely not the same vibe as book one and wow was book one great. A little of that normal Fae stuff I am not a fan of happening but I definitely feel this a bit more on a mature level but still looking for the fantasy that will sell me on fantasies!
❤️ The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year
By: Ally Carter
⭐️ rating: 3.75
This was so much fun. Two writers solving a mystery falling in love! Such a fun type of romance with mystery!
💚 Unbridled Cowboy By: Maisey Yates
⭐️rating: 3.0
This was such a repetitive story! Like she legit said the same thing over and over. The story itself is interesting a girl from the city decided to take a chance on a different life. But oh man the same thing being said over and over I can not!
