✨Let's Talk About Journaling. ✨
My journals have been my most prized possessions since I was 18, I'm currently 29. They still are. I have over 30 filled journals if my math is right. Yes, 30+ journals filled in 11 years is a lot. Believe me, I know. I've either been really, really angry, and needed to vent or just had a lot of thoughts to put on paper. Sometimes both, to be honest. I start off angry and end with some what I would consider to be deeper thoughts. One day, I'll take all of my journals out and post them here, even my empty ones.
What made me start journaling? I've always liked writing, and sometimes you need an escape from talking to people. Whether it be friends or family, hell, even your pets if you have any. Sometimes, you may need to vent and not want any outside opinions. You just want the satisfaction of knowing that you talked, or wrote, crap about someone or a situation, and it's out there in the universe, out of your system. It's nice. Or you have secrets that you can't hold in anymore, but for one reason or another, you feel like you can't tell anyone else. Journaling means many different things to everyone who does it. But the one thing I feel is universal is how good it feels after your journal session is done.
How to start journaling. I recommend just getting about five to ten pieces of paper, or more if you need it, and just writing. I know it's easier said than done. So, another recommendation I have is journaling prompts on Google. They can be ones that really make you think, ones that help you with your past. ANYTHING you want. And I think that's a beautiful thing.
I know this may not be the best advice, but I do hope it helps get you started.
