But when that fruit is juiced, all that beneficial fiber is stripped away, leaving you with a concentrated shot of sugar that hits your bloodstream almost as quickly as the high fructose corn syrup found in many sodas. I've seen firsthand how these sugar rushes can wreak havoc. Beyond the immediate energy crash, consistently high sugar intake can contribute to hormonal imbalances, impact our mood (hello, dopamine crashes!), and even lead to more serious issues like increased triglycerides and a higher risk of fatty liver disease.
