Fig Trees, Fruit & Leaves—Medicine in My Garden! 🍃

Y’all, I’m officially in my FIG ERA 😉😍💪🏾❗️

This baby right here is one of two fig trees growing in my garden, and not only do I love the fruit — but did you know the leaves are medicinal too❓️❗️

🍃 FIG LEAVES – YES, THEY’RE USEFUL!

I know we don’t talk about it enough, but fig leaves are low-key powerful too. You can brew them into tea to help with:

✨ Blood sugar regulation

✨ Lowering cholesterol

✨ Anti-inflammatory support

✨ Bronchitis & respiratory relief

Just dry a few clean fig leaves, steep them like you would any herbal tea, and sip away. 🌿

💜 FIG FRUIT BENEFITS

My fig fruit is coming in strong, and let me tell you—it’s packed with goodness:

✔️ High in fiber (gut health on 10!)

✔️ Loaded with antioxidants

✔️ Great natural sweetener

✔️ Helps support heart & bone health

Whether fresh, dried, or in preserves… figs are that girl!

☀️ WEATHER & CARE TIPS

🌞 Figs love hot, sunny climates — which makes Texas PERFECT.

🪴 I grow mine in fabric pots for drainage and mobility.

💧 Keep soil moist but not soggy.

❄️ Cold winters? Cover or bring them in!

🤝 DO THEY NEED POLLINATORS?

Nope❗️

Most common fig varieties like the one I have are self-pollinating, so you don’t need a second tree to get fruit.

But having two fig trees (like I do 😎) just means more fruit for me!

Did you know fig leaves had medicinal uses, or do you just eat the fruit? 🍃💜
