When shopping secondhand, sizing can vary a lot between brands, fabrics, and eras. Knowing how to read measurements makes buying secondhand way easier.

Here’s a quick guide📏

Shirts

• Pit to Pit (Chest): Underarm seam → underarm seam

• Length: Shoulder → hem

Pants

• Waist: Across waistband ×2

• Rise: Waistband → crotch seam

• Hips: Widest part ×2

• Inseam: Crotch seam → hem (inside leg)

• Outseam: Waistband → hem (outside seam)
