POV : learning to enjoy my own company ✨

5/5 Edited to

... Read moreSpending time alone can be a transformative experience that helps us reconnect with ourselves on a deeper level. Learning to enjoy your own company is not just about being physically alone—it’s about cultivating a sense of inner peace and self-contentment. From my experience, I found that embracing solitude allowed me to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the simple moments often overlooked during busy life phases. One of the key insights I gained while living alone in my rented room was that "alone" does not mean "lonely." It’s perfectly okay to have days where you just enjoy the quiet, dive into hobbies, or simply do things at your own pace. I realized that solitude provides an excellent opportunity for self-growth and mindfulness. I started journaling my thoughts and setting small personal goals, which made my days feel fulfilling. I also learned that it’s important to be gentle with yourself—there’s no rush in adapting to solitude. The phrase "慢慢来也没关系," which means "take your time, it’s fine," truly resonates with this mindset. It’s crucial to be patient and kind to yourself as you navigate this journey. Additionally, creating a daily routine helps to structure your alone time effectively. Whether it’s making a morning coffee ritual, organizing your space, or taking short walks, these small acts boost your mood and create a sense of comfort. Remember to save this reminder: enjoying your own company is a valuable skill and can lead to a happier, healthier relationship with yourself.

I started my Smarthome Company at the age of 28. With $800 in my Bank Account.
At 28, I decided to take the risk. No rich investors. No perfect timing. No big office. Just $800 in my bank account, a passion for smart home technology, and the determination to build something of my own. There were days I questioned everything — chasing projects, handling installations,

my story of losing my job

I used to think rest was something I had to fly out for. A quiet morning. A slower pace. A meal without rushing. A day where I didn’t have to be “on” all the time. Maybe that’s why I enjoy travelling without an itinerary. No packed schedule. No need to maximise every hour. No pressure
