It shocks me how many people jump straight into a Master’s right after undergrad with no real world experience, just saying “I need this for Job X.” But did a hiring manager actually tell you it’s non-negotiable? Or is that just your guess? Let’s be real: 8/10 times, companies pick someone with a Bachelor’s with internships over a Master’s grad with zero skills. And if you get hired and prove yourself? A lot will pay for your Master’s later, their dime, not yours. You’re drowning in tens of thousands in debt for a hunch, when you could be earning money and gaining experience. Work first, then see if you even need that degree. Obvi, exceptions exist: medicine, law, fields where the Master’s is mandatory. But business, tech, marketing? Do internships, turn one into a job, then check in 2-3 years if a Master’s helps your career. So what you can do beats a paper certificate.
