Waste of time but still choose to summarize every exam

Briefing before the exam is a time-consuming matter for many people. Sometimes it takes hours to condense hundreds of pages of content into a few sheets. Repeat, rewrite, rearrange topics, split colors, and come back many times until you barely sleep. Many people may consider it a waste of time because taking time to read straight or relax may be worth it, but in the end they still choose to do it.

The advantage of making a summary for us is that it helps us to review the content. During writing 1 round, we will start to capture the key points of the lesson more easily. Know where to remember, where to not understand. And help the final reading time, do not have to go back to open the whole book again (making it feel very discouraged compared to having to go back to read thousands of slides). It also helps to organize ideas very well for us, making the exam room time not feel too flunky. Because at least we have passed the eyes and the content many times from the summary itself (the exam time, if we read the summary many times, it can imagine the picture that we made a summary, haha).

But on the other hand, summarizing has the same drawbacks. It takes a lot of time and energy. Sometimes, intending to complete a beautiful summary, to waste time actually reading, or someone spends the night writing, but finally, not too much sleep, brain fatigue, and can barely remember anything. And when you see other people reading it more quickly, it can put pressure on yourself too (this one we are almost always).

Even so, many people - including us - still choose to make a summary every time before taking the exam, not because it is easy or fun, but because it is a way to feel that at least we have done our best. Even if the results are not the best, at least you can tell yourself that we have not accidentally passed them.# Write down the summary # Studygram # Tan student # Read books # Trending
