You feed it ginger, sugar, and water, and over a few days, it develops into a fizzy, probiotic-rich base that can ferment fruit juices into delicious, bubbly soda. It's truly magic to watch it come alive! Now, why beetroot soda specifically? Beyond its stunning vibrant color, beetroots are packed with nutrients, and when fermented with a ginger bug, you get a naturally carbonated drink that's not only refreshing but also good for your gut. I've found it's a fantastic alternative to store-bought fizzy drinks, which often contain high fructose corn syrup and artificial flavors.
