My heart’s heavy this morning. The hurricane that passed through Jamaica has me anxious still waiting to hear from some of my family, praying they’re safe.
I tried really hard to do a voiceover for this video, but I can’t find the words right now.
Cooking helps me stay grounded and connected, even when home feels far away. I made flaky sourdough fried dumplings, bully beef and cabbage, and a cozy chai mocha latte something to hold space for hope.
Food is comfort. Food is home. This one’s for Jamaica, and for everyone praying, waiting, and holding on. 🇯🇲
🖤💛💚
Praying for healing for power restoration for peace of mind and for Jamaica to rise again as she always does.
