wellness trends I’m ditching in 2024
just bc it’s a trend doesn’t mean it’s for you 🫶🏻
it’s good to experiment with your routine or lifestyle but you don’t have to incorporate every wellness trend into your life! It may not work for you & your body like it does for someone else.
Knowing what’s for you is key!! These are the trends I’m ditching for peace of mind ↴
thinking I need a supplement for everything (don’t let the industry fool you, diet should come before supplements)
intermittent fasting (it can have negative effects on hormones especially for women & it feels too restrictive for me)
using Pinterest as “wellness inspo” (aesthetics, romantizing routine, or having a vision of what you want are great but wellness should be how you feel not look) ✨
quick fixes or hacks (true healthy habits are built over time not over night)
focusing on micro habits (seed cycling, supplements, etc.) to fix macro problems! Get the basics down (nourishing meal, daily movement, daily sunlight, & stress management) before adding in micro habits if you’re overwhelmed
thinking I need to “heal” my body (taking care of yourself is a life long journey that will never be perfect!)
trusting what influencers/celebrities say/do vs doing your own research & listening to individual needs
What trends are you ditching?🤍

As we approach 2024, it's essential to reassess the wellness trends that may not contribute positively to our health. Many people feel pressured to adopt popular health fads, but it's crucial to understand that not every trend is suitable for everyone. For instance, while intermittent fasting has gained popularity, it can adversely affect hormonal balance, especially in women, leading to potential complications. Additionally, the wellness industry often promotes the idea that a plethora of supplements is necessary for optimal health. However, it's important to note that a balanced diet should be the foundation of wellness. Focus on consuming nutrient-rich whole foods instead. Moreover, relying on social media for wellness inspiration can skew our perspectives. Instead of getting caught up in aesthetics, assess how these practices make you feel internally. Ultimately, true wellness is about nurturing your body and mind over time—nobody achieves perfect health overnight. Practicing self-care is a lifelong commitment that involves establishing healthy habits, including nourishing meals, regular physical activity, and effective stress management techniques. These foundational practices are invaluable in cultivating a sustainable approach to personal wellness, rather than chasing quick fixes that often lead to disappointment.

I agree with the supplements one but they are still great to *supplement* your life. For me who doesn’t find myself wanting to sT veggies everyday the greens and vitamins definitely help and make me feel better! I’m trying to find the best solution to eat more greens! Thoughts ?
