Stop Violence Against Women and Girls

... Read moreIn recent years, I've noticed how violence against women and girls has shifted from traditional public spaces to the digital world, making it a complex issue that requires us to pay attention both online and offline. As Sarah Hendriks, UN Women's Director for Policy and Programmes, points out, online violence has escalated into a global crisis affecting millions. I remember a close friend who faced severe online harassment that spilled over into her daily life, causing emotional distress and forcing her to change her routines to feel safe again. This experience highlighted for me how digital abuse is not just virtual but can have very real consequences. Stopping violence against women and girls means creating awareness about the forms of abuse that often go unnoticed or unchecked, like cyberbullying, doxxing, and online stalking. It also means supporting policies and technologies that protect privacy and enable victims to report abuse safely. On a community level, promoting education about respect and consent starting at a young age can help change harmful mindsets. It’s important to remember that ending this violence requires a multifaceted approach — from international organizations pushing for stronger laws to everyday individuals standing up and speaking out against abuse. Sharing stories, supporting survivors, and getting involved in campaigns such as #ForAllWomenAndGirls contribute to creating a safer, more respectful world. Taking personal steps, like reviewing privacy settings on social media, supporting survivors, and educating ourselves and others, can collectively make a difference.

I know there are many women out here who are suffering in silence like I was in 2021. I was with a man for 3.5 years, never really paid the signs any attention, until the last 4 months of our relationship, when the physical abuse began. Prior to April 2021 (first time he hit me), there was a

It came to my attention almost about a year ago that an individual made a post on a dog book page about my dogs names. I read it back then and I understood their concern, but there was also a lot of lies sewn within that tiny thread of truth. Im not gonna care, I truly don’t. At the end of the day

⚠️TRIGGER WARNING (self harm and violence)⚠️
•OCD is often misconstrued as a disorder that causes you to want everything to be perfect, neat, and tidy. While this can be true, IT IS NOT THAT WAY FOR EVERYONE. As you can see, my room is nowhere near organized or tidy lol. •The determining factor for OCD is compulsions. Compulsions are anythin
