✨A quiet insecurity I finally chose to be kind to✨

Hi guys, this is my first ever post on lemon8. Part of me really wants to gate-keep HER forever 🥹🥹 but I truly hope i can help more people who maybe facing the same problem as me.

I’ve been dealing with mild hair thinning for years, especially around the crown. Not extreme, not dramatic, but enough that I’d notice it every time I tied my hair or stood under bright lights.

This photo shows my before & after of just the 1st Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) session at Meod Aesthetics (Singapore). The price starts from $98, depending on area covered.

🌱 Before

The scalp showed through clearly, making the parting and crown look wider than I felt comfortable with. I didn’t realise how much it affected my confidence until I saw it change.

🌿 After (1st session only)

The scalp looks darker and more even, the parting softer, and the crown no longer draws attention to itself. It doesn’t look “done”, it just looks balanced and natural.

💆🏻‍♀️ My experience

The beautician is a true gem 💎 made of love ❤️

So gentle, patient, attentive and highly professional. No rushing, no hard selling, NO PACKAGE, just honest advice and careful work. I felt safe, respected and cared for throughout the session.

🤍 How I feel now

This wasn’t about chasing perfection.

It was about choosing myself, gently.

After the session, I felt lighter, more at ease, more confident, more present in my own skin.

This is session 1 of 3, with the next two sessions spaced every 3 weeks. I’ll be sharing honest updates as I go 🌿

Sometimes self-love starts with a very quiet decision not to ignore yourself anymore. ❤️❤️

... Read moreIf you're considering scalp micropigmentation (SMP) in Singapore and wondering about the costs and results after the first session, let me share my insights. SMP prices can vary depending on the area treated, with sessions starting around $98 at Meod Aesthetics. Many people, like myself, notice subtle but meaningful improvements even after just one visit. The key is that SMP doesn’t aim to create a dramatic change but rather to balance and naturally conceal thinning areas, especially around the crown. What helped me feel comfortable was the gentle and professional approach of the beautician. There was no pressure or aggressive selling of packages, just honest advice tailored to my needs, which made the process less daunting. For anyone feeling self-conscious about thinning hair, SMP can be a quiet but powerful step toward embracing yourself. The treatment sessions are usually spaced a few weeks apart, allowing your scalp to adjust gradually. Tracking progress between sessions is helpful, and I plan to share more updates as I continue the treatment. Remember, SMP is not about chasing perfection but about choosing self-care and kindness toward yourself. If you’re in Singapore, I'd recommend looking into reputable clinics like Meod Aesthetics, especially if you want a respectful and heartfelt experience.
