Because of the government shutdown, SNAP (food stamp) benefits will not be released starting November 1st.

That means countless families — parents doing their best — will have no help putting food on the table next month.

No extra groceries. No breakfast, lunch, or dinner help for their kids.

So this Halloween… 🎃

When you open your door to those sweet little faces shouting “trick or treat!” —

please consider tossing in something more than candy this year. 🍎🥫💖

Things like fruit snacks, crackers, oatmeal packs, granola bars — anything that could help a child or parent who’s struggling.

You never know whose little one is walking up your driveway, pretending everything’s okay.

This year, let’s be the reason someone feels cared for.

Let’s remind each other that community still matters and that even the smallest act of kindness can fill more than a belly — it can fill a heart. ❤️
