Day 34 | still learning

This week hasn’t been my best. Progress feels stuck, and body feels tired, and motivation isn’t at its peak. But I know that’s all part of the journey. Not every week will be good and sometimes it's about learning to be patient and reminding yourself why you started. 💪

When progress seems to stall and energy dips, it’s important to remember that this is a natural part of any long-term commitment to health and fitness. One way I’ve found useful is focusing on manageable daily goals like the ones mentioned here — hitting a back workout, walking 12,000 steps, and doing 45 minutes of cardio. These small victories keep me moving forward, even when motivation wanes. Nutrition also plays a big role during challenging phases. Incorporating protein-rich snacks like warm protein muffins, as highlighted in the image text, helps fuel recovery and maintain muscle mass during cutting or weight loss phases. Additionally, experimenting with flavorful low-calorie meals such as Japanese Ochazuke—a comforting tea-based rice dish—can keep meals interesting without compromising dietary goals. I also appreciate the reminder that cheat meals with friends can be part of a balanced lifestyle, offering mental relief from strict routines while fostering social connections. Drinks like an ice oat latte or low-calorie options with minced beef and cauliflower rice provide satisfying alternatives to typical carbs-heavy meals. Above all, staying patient, celebrating small wins, and remembering the original motivation behind starting the journey keeps me grounded. Tracking activities like steps, cardio minutes, and strength training sessions gives a clear picture of progress beyond just the scale, helping maintain momentum through even the hardest weeks.
