Being a middle schooler today means juggling many interests and emotions, which I can definitely relate to. I also enjoy diving deep into anime, with favorites including Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and the touching film A Silent Voice. Planning to watch Bleach soon has me excited because it’s such a classic that many of my friends love. Besides anime, I am very involved in my school life. I participate in volleyball and practice Taekwondo, which helps me stay active and focused. Like many kids my age, I have multiple fandoms, including Hamilton, South Park, and various anime series. My favorite character has to be Thomas Jefferson from Hamilton because of the revolutionary vibe and boldness he represents. What really grounds me are music and art—they’re my favorite ways to express myself. Being an ambivert, I balance my need to hang out with friends with moments when I just want to recharge alone. Sometimes, I struggle with depressive episodes, but I find that sharing my experiences with understanding friends and engaging with community fandoms is comforting. I also identify as pansexual, which is an important part of who I am. Being open about my identity has helped me become more confident and authentic. My favorite color is maroon, probably because it feels strong yet warm, much like how I want to project my personality. School can be challenging, especially socially, and sometimes I find it hard to get along with others in my grade. Still, I try to focus on things that empower me energetically and inspire feelings of revolution like those expressed in Hamilton. My birthday is May 17, and I truly believe in the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—ideals that help me navigate middle school life.
