"Do companies not use AI because they are afraid of data leaks?"
This question is actually happening in many organizations, especially in years when Generative AI and Agental AI technologies are being applied on a large scale, from coding to summarizing reports to analyzing insights.
For tech workers or the younger generation, being banned from using AI can feel like being forced to use an orphan knife in an age when the world already has automated harvesters; the first sense is often summed up simply as "conservative executives" or "this organization is not ready to develop."
But if we take off the user's point of view and put on the hat of a risk manager or an enterprise architect, AI bans in some contexts may not be a rejection of technology, but a prevention of "systemic risks" that may affect the entire organization in the long run.

New-age AI is not just a Q & A tool, it can connect, read files, and access internal systems.

Allowing external AI tools to access these data, without clear control standards yet, may create business confidentiality risks, violations of personal data protection laws, and damage to corporate reputation.
