scary to think i did at one point...
Reflecting on moments when fear shaped my perspective, I realize how important it is to move toward honesty, especially in relationships with those who care about us. It’s scary to acknowledge the times we couldn’t be fully truthful about how we were treated, but sharing the reality brings a sense of liberation and healing. I remember feeling trapped by the need to hide my true experiences to protect my loved ones from worry. This made the wounds deeper, as pretending everything was fine only prolonged the pain. But when I finally embraced honesty, especially telling my mum how I was really being treated, it felt like a huge weight was lifted. The truth allowed for real support and understanding that wasn’t possible before. Being able to openly share your struggles can be daunting, but it's a vital step toward emotional recovery. In my experience, acknowledging the fear and pain out loud created space for compassion and genuine help. This journey isn’t easy, but it’s empowering to no longer have to lie or hide, finding strength in vulnerability and the support of loved ones.
