... Read moreHey everyone! So, I've been grinding a lot of Fortnite Zero Build lately, and let me tell you, it's a completely different beast without building mechanics. My initial 'strateek' (strategy!) was basically just running and gunning, but that wasn't cutting it for those Victory Royales. After countless matches and learning from some seriously good players (shoutout to those like TTVitzhaven1 and CardCinnamon66 I've encountered!), I've picked up some game-changing tips that I just HAVE to share. First off, cover is KING in Zero Build. Forget trying to build your way out of trouble; you need to constantly be aware of your surroundings. Use natural terrain like hills, rocks, and existing structures for protection. Always move from cover to cover, and don't be afraid to reposition if you're caught in the open. I learned this the hard way – getting beamed in the middle of a field is no fun! This is a core part of any successful 'strateek' in this mode. Another massive tip is mastering mantling and sliding. These movement techniques are your best friends. Mantling over obstacles can give you a height advantage or a quick escape, while sliding can make you a harder target to hit when pushing or retreating. Practice these until they're second nature. I've had so many close calls where a well-timed slide saved my skin. It's all about making yourself unpredictable and harder to hit, which is a key part of my personal 'strateek'. Weapon loadout is crucial too. Since you can't build, long-range engagements are common, but close-quarters combat is still inevitable. I usually run an AR for mid-to-long range, an SMG or Shotgun for close encounters, and then health items and maybe a sniper or explosives. Don't forget those shield potions! Keeping your shields up is a non-negotiable part of any solid 'strateek' for survival in Battle Royale. Communication with your squad, if you're not playing solos, is vital. Remember that 'Chat (Hold)' option? Use it! Call out enemy positions, share loot, and coordinate pushes. A well-communicated team often beats a squad of better individual players. Even in solos, paying attention to audio cues is a form of communication with the game itself, helping you anticipate threats and refine your 'strateek'. Finally, don't underestimate the power of knowing when to engage and when to disengage. Not every fight is worth taking, especially if you're low on health or outnumbered. Sometimes the best 'strateek' is to play it safe, rotate to a better position, and pick your battles. And hey, sometimes a quick 'Stop Emote' after a clutch play is just for fun, but staying focused is key! I've seen players get too cocky after a kill and get eliminated themselves. Always maintain your composure, even in intense moments near the end of a match. These personalized 'strateek' adjustments have seriously boosted my win rate in Zero Build, and I hope they help you too! Let me know your favorite Zero Build tips in the comments!
