God’s First Question

God’s First Question Was About Presence, Not Sin | Where Are You?

The very first question God asked in the Bible wasn’t about judgment—it was about relationship. In Genesis 3, after Adam and Eve sinned, God didn’t start with “What have you done?” He started with “Where are you?”

That same question still echoes today. God isn’t chasing us with anger—He’s pursuing us with love. His heart has always been relationship over religion, presence over performance. Even when we fall short, His voice calls us back, not to shame us, but to invite us closer.
