From Fridge to Forest (Well…Balcony, For Now)

These little sprouts started their journey months ago in the cold dark of my fridge—mimicking winter through a process called cold stratification, which many of our good native plants need to wake up.

Today, they finally graduate to soil! This step always feels like hope made visible. I’m not just planting flowers—I’m planting futures. Each one is part of a bigger movement to restore native ecosystems, one pot (or patch of yard) at a time.

Accidentally Grew These on My Balcony 😳🌱

This seed trick actually works. I wrapped green bean seeds in a damp paper towel, sealed them in a plastic bag… then forgot about them for a week 🤯 They sprouted like crazy! I gently untangled the roots and planted them right away — just 3 days later, they were already thriving on my balcony.
