5 thinks I told my younger self

6/16 Edited to

... Read moreStarting a fitness journey can be overwhelming without the right guidance. One key lesson I've learned is the importance of using tools like the Stair Master consistently—just 20 minutes a day can jumpstart noticeable changes in endurance and lower body strength. Initially, I underestimated the importance of having a focused plan at the gym; simply showing up isn't enough. Writing down your weights, reps, and sets each session helps you maintain steady progress, avoid plateaus, and stay motivated. Meal preparation was another game-changer. Cooking at home most of the time ensures better control over what you eat, especially hitting an approximate daily goal of 100 grams of protein to support muscle growth and recovery. While it's okay to enjoy eating out occasionally, prioritizing home-cooked meals supports consistency and healthier habits. Moreover, tracking your core and waist-focused exercises—and monitoring related metrics like weight and BMI using apps—provides tangible evidence of improvement. This method helped me stay motivated by focusing on meaningful progress instead of confusing metrics. These insights together create a sustainable fitness approach that I wish I had known from the start. Incorporating these strategies into your routine can accelerate your results and make the journey more rewarding.

Things I Wish Someone Told Me in My 20s 💗
Looking back, I spent so much time worrying about things that never deserved that much space in my mind. Being good enough. Finding the right man. Money. My appearance. Having everything figured out. Today I know that growth isn’t a race. Trust your timing. Trust your journey. Trust

Your Younger Self Is Proud Of You 🤍
There was once a younger version of you who prayed for the life you’re living now. She prayed for healing. She prayed for peace. She prayed to make it through the hard seasons. She prayed to become the person God was calling her to be. And even if you don’t feel “there” yet, take a moment
