✨ Teaching children about Jesus doesn’t have to be complicated ✨

Sometimes the biggest lessons start with the smallest acts of kindness.

This simple Bible study is designed for kids ages 4–8 to help them learn Scripture, talk about what it means, complete a fun activity, and pray together with their family.

My hope is to make God’s Word feel approachable, meaningful, and fun for little hearts.

🤍 Today’s lesson: Being Kind Like Jesus

Because every act of kindness is a chance to share His love with someone else.

👇 Would your child enjoy Bible studies like this?

... Read moreTeaching young children about Jesus can be one of the most rewarding experiences for any parent or caregiver, especially when focusing on practical lessons like kindness. The lesson "Being Kind Like Jesus," inspired by Ephesians 4:32, offers a perfect foundation for children ages 4-8 to understand the importance of kindness, love, and sharing God’s love in everyday life. One effective tool I've found to bring this lesson to life is the "Kindness Jar" activity. It’s a simple, interactive way to help kids visualize their acts of kindness. By writing or drawing kind acts on slips of paper and placing them in a jar, children not only engage in a tangible craft but also internalize the joy of giving and smiling upon others. This activity naturally leads to conversations about how even small actions — like sharing toys, giving compliments, or helping around the house — reflect Jesus’ love. Family involvement in Bible study also deepens understanding and reinforces values. Praying together after discussing the verse helps children connect emotionally and spiritually, creating a warm environment where faith feels accessible and joyful. Personalizing prayers by asking children to think about someone they want to be kind to next or thanking Jesus for kindness they’ve received cultivates empathy and gratitude. It's important to remember that teaching kids about Jesus doesn't have to be complex or overwhelming. Using familiar, everyday examples of kindness helps children grasp profound biblical truths in ways they understand. By celebrating small acts of kindness and encouraging children to notice them, you're nurturing a faith-filled mindset that grows stronger with each thoughtful deed. Integrating storytelling, scripture reflection, creative activities, and prayer into your home routine can make learning about Jesus both meaningful and fun. This approach empowers children to live out their faith through simple, actionable steps, inspiring them to be little lights of kindness in their communities.
