They’re trying to cancel Beyoncé !
Beyoncé was photographed sharing a dinner table with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, y’all. And the Internet is ready to cancel her over it.
The event in question was the REFORM casino night gala, which was cohosted by Bey’s husband, Jay-Z, who is also one of the founding partners of REFORM Alliance - an organization that aims to transform probation and parole by changing laws, systems, and culture to create real pathways to work and well-being.
As a diehard, card carrying member of the Beyhive, I was ready to give Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter the benefit of the doubt and say she had no choice in the seating and was probably just as mad as her fans were to see the seating arrangements, but given that her husband Jay-Z is a cofounder of the organization… I do think that it was deliberate.
With that being said, I am not fully understanding the backlash. Everybody, across the political spectrum, gathered together to support an organization that seeks to reform the criminal justice system… Is that not a good thing?
As far as I’m aware, people across political beliefs being united for a cause is a beautiful thing to see. I feel the same way about Kim Kardashian sucking it up and working with President Trump over the past few years to help get people released from prison.
Sometimes you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do for the greater good, even if you don’t necessarily believe in the other person’s political party.
Especially when that political part is in control.
I’m just saying.

It’s a reminder to look deeper before forming judgments.
While I do love Beyonce, I do have to remind myself that she truly is just another billionaire
