First photo: For context, this person came to my post to tell me that transgender people literally cannot change their gender. They told me that I'm just a girl trying to pretend to be a boy and that they were going to continue to call me a girl regardless of how uncomfortable it makes me. I simply replied by saying that I don't want them to interact with me if they are not going to call me by the pronouns that I want and I also told them not to call me a girl. After I said: "don't call me a girl because I am not one" another person thought they were funny by replying: "heyyy girl" ... like, did you not just read what I said? Or are you choosing to cross my boundaries?
Second photo: For context, I have a post of all my pride flags and the first two were the gay (MLM) flag and the transgender flag because I am a gay trans guy. This person commented saying that I am actually "straight" because I have a vulva and I am attracted to men. How many times can I make myself clear?? Genitals. Are. Not. Your. Gender!!! I hate the fact that they crossed my boundaries of commenting about what genitals I have. I don't care if I have breasts. I do not care if I have a vulva. I am still a man!!!
Third photo: For context, to be honest, I didn't read all of it so I don't really know. But the parts that I made out was this person saying that if I "look" like I'm a boy, then I would be a "he/him" and vice versa if I looked like a girl. Now what strikes me as odd is that they said that if you don't look like a boy nor girl (intersex I assume they are talking about) that they would be "corrected" at a young age to avoid confusion. Intersex people don't need to be corrected. The only things that need to be corrected are your manners and mindset.

Living as a gay trans guy can be a journey filled with constant challenges, especially when it comes to educating others about gender identity and personal boundaries. From my own experience, one of the hardest things is dealing with people who refuse to respect my gender identity. When someone insists on calling me a girl because of my birth sex or physical attributes, it not only invalidates who I am but also causes significant emotional discomfort. It's essential for people to grasp that gender is a deeply personal and internal experience, not something defined solely by anatomy. I have confronted many instances where strangers or even acquaintances comment on my body in ways that feel invasive or disrespectful. For example, being told I'm "actually straight" because I have a vulva and am attracted to men is a misconception rooted in ignorance. Sexual orientation and gender identity are separate aspects of who we are. Genitals do not dictate these identities, and it’s crucial for society to move beyond such outdated ideas. Another misconception I’ve encountered is the belief that one’s gender should rely solely on appearance. Some argue that if someone looks like a boy, they should be referred to as a he/him, and if they look like a girl, then she/her fits. This oversimplification disregards the complexities of gender expression as well as the experiences of intersex people, who are often subjected to unnecessary medical interventions under the guise of “correction.” Rather than trying to control or "correct" someone’s physical traits to fit binary standards, what truly needs correction is society’s approach — fostering respect, empathy, and acceptance. One valuable lesson from my journey is the importance of setting clear boundaries about how you wish to be addressed and treated. I have told people not to engage with me if they cannot use my correct pronouns or if they continue to misgender me. It’s not about being confrontational but about affirming my dignity and identity. Consistent and respectful use of pronouns can go a long way in creating safer, more inclusive spaces. At the end of the day, fighting transphobia and anti-LGBTQ+ hate requires both education and personal courage. Sharing real stories and standing firm on one’s identity helps shift public understanding and fosters solidarity. For anyone facing similar experiences, remember — your identity is valid, your feelings matter, and you deserve respect.
