Crunch berry carrots twist
Crunchy Blueberry and Carrot Twisted Chew Sticks for dogs with Naturally Colorful Ingredients
Ingredients:
* 1 cup (110 g) carrots (finely grated)
* 1/2 cup (75 g) blueberries (fresh or thawed, mashed)
* 2 1/2 cups (250 g) oat flour (finely ground)
* 1 large egg (lightly beaten)
* 2 tbsp (30 ml) water (divided, as needed)

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In one bowl, mix the grated carrots, 1 1/4 cups (125 g) oat flour, half the egg, and 1 tbsp (15 ml) water to form an orange dough.
3. In a second bowl, mix the mashed blueberries, remaining 1 1/4 cups (125 g) oat flour, remaining egg, and 1 tbsp (15 ml) water to form a purple dough.
4. Roll each dough into long ropes about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) thick and 5 inches (13 cm) long.
5. Pair one carrot rope with one blueberry rope and twist them together to create the striped chew-stick appearance shown in the picture.
6. Place the twists on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes until firm and lightly golden.
7. For extra crunch, reduce oven temperature to 250°F (120°C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
8. Cool completely before serving.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
