Freida McFadden Books Ranked and Rated🔪🔍📚
I have been slacking on my reviews lately and I love Freida McFadden so I thought it would be fun to rank and rate all the ones I've read at once!
How excited are all you fellow Freida fans for the Housemaid movie thats coming out?! Do you think they will do the book justice? What do you hope to see on screen?
Well let's get into it my ranking and ratings from my favorite to least favorite:
My number 1 has to be:
👶The Perfect Son
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a perfect refresh after finishing the Housemaid series. It had all the twists you would expect from Freida but done even better in my opinion. If you only read the Housemaid series and felt it was repetitive I encourage you to pick this one up. A completely different vibe with an ending that makes you think
Coming in at number 2 is
🧹The Housemaid
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the first book I read of hers. It truly got me into the thriller/mystery genre so I had to place it high. So many twists I didnt see coming and im so glad I took a chance on this book.
Number 3
🔒The Inmate
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This one had a great premise. Women returns to her home town after leaving due to a tragedy she was involved in during her teenage years. The only reason I removed a star is because the main character was incredibly frustrating and sometimes lacked common sense. To be fair I did not see the ending twist coming anyways but the entire time I was rolling my eyes. I do like the multi point of view with the flashbacks to what happened in the past.
Number 4
🏠The Housemaid is Watching
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
The 3rd book in the Housemaid series. This one got me back into Freida McFaddens books. It wasn't as predictable as the second book and I liked seeing the growth of the main characters life. Unfortunately though if it was a stand alone book not apart of the series, and we didnt have the attachment to the main character, I don't think it would hold its own. The twist wasn't that shocking and it didnt wow me.
Number 5
🎁The Gift
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a short story at only 47 pages but I enjoyed it. Would i recommend you pay for it? No lol. I read it with Kindle Unlimited. It was a spooky Christmas themed thriller that made me go "huh that's crazy" at the end but thats about it.
Number 6.
🩸The Housemaid's Secret
⭐️⭐️⭐️
The second book in the series. Didn't wow me but didnt hate it for me that means 3 stars. It was meh. Kinda predictable and the book that made me have the false assumption all her books would be the same format (im glad I was wrong). If you felt the same way try one of her stand alone books.
Number 7.
👰The Housemaid's Wedding
⭐️⭐️
The 4th book in the Housemaid Series that takes place between book 2 and 3. A super short story at only 76 pages that again after reading it I am glad I didnt pay for and read on KU. If you really need to know what happened go for it but it doesn't add anything you need to know. Am I glad I got to read it? Yes. Would I say its necessary? Absolutely not. Feels like a cash grab to be honest....
