Fix your "Gamer Posture" 🎮

4/6 Edited to

... Read moreAs someone who spends hours gaming and sitting at a desk, I noticed my posture worsening over time, leading to discomfort and stiffness. Incorporating face pulls into my workout routine made a significant difference. The key is to pull the rope towards your forehead, not your chin, and to focus on spreading the rope apart at the end of each rep. This technique really engages the rear delts and upper back muscles, helping counteract the forward rounded shoulders caused by prolonged sitting. Posture isn’t just about appearance — it directly affects your long-term musculoskeletal health and can help prevent common problems like neck pain and upper back strain. Using an app like GymSpotter to track consistency and strength progress motivated me to keep up with face pulls regularly. Tracking workouts and seeing improvements built a sense of achievement while improving my posture. If you're a fellow gamer or desk worker struggling with slouching, I recommend starting with light weights and focusing on form. Gradually increasing resistance and frequency will boost your posture gains. Over time, you’ll notice your shoulders becoming more aligned and your upper back stronger, enhancing not just how you look but also how you feel throughout the day.
