🌿 Practice the Art of Observing, Not Absorbing 🌿

Hey, beautiful souls! 💫 Let’s talk about protecting our energy and how important it is to practice the art of observing without absorbing. 🧘‍♀️✨

In a world that constantly demands our attention and emotions, it’s easy to take on energy that isn’t ours—whether it's negativity, stress, or drama. But here’s the truth: *we don’t have to carry what isn’t ours*.

👁Observe, Don’t Absorb👁

Being aware of the things happening around us is key, but absorbing every emotion, situation, or energy will only drain us. By simply observing, we can stay grounded and in control of our own emotions. Remember, it’s okay to care and still protect your peace.

🌸Protect Your Energy🌸

Set boundaries. It’s not selfish, it’s necessary! Protecting your energy allows you to be your best self and serve others with love, rather than from a place of exhaustion or resentment.

You owe it to yourself to stay aligned with your own energy. 💖

Have you ever struggled with absorbing other people’s energy? Let’s talk about it in the comments! ✨

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on what we talked about, I wanted to dive a little deeper into what it truly means to 'observe, not absorb' and how it's completely transformed my daily life. When I first heard this phrase, it sounded simple, but putting it into practice was a learning curve. For me, it's about creating a vital space between an event or emotion and my reaction to it. Instead of immediately taking on someone's stress or a challenging situation as my own, I now consciously step back. It’s like being an audience member watching a play – you see the drama unfold, you understand the emotions, but you don't jump onto the stage to become a character in it. This perspective helps me maintain my emotional equilibrium, even when things get chaotic around me. So, how do you actually do it? One technique I’ve found incredibly useful is simply noticing my physical responses. When I start to feel tense, my shoulders rise, or my stomach clenches, it’s a signal that I might be starting to absorb. That’s my cue to take a deep breath, consciously relax my body, and remind myself, 'This is not mine to carry.' Another practical step is to visualize a protective shield around yourself. It doesn't have to be fancy – just imagining a gentle, clear boundary that allows you to see and understand what's happening outside, but prevents unwanted energy from penetrating. This simple act of visualization has been a game-changer for me in mastering the art of observing. Cultivating what many call the 'observing self' is also key. Think of it as a calm, wise part of you that sits above the fray, watching with compassion but without judgment or entanglement. For me, connecting with this 'observing self' often happens through short moments of mindfulness throughout my day. It could be five minutes of quiet meditation, or even just pausing to really notice my surroundings – the sounds, the smells, the feeling of my feet on the ground. These little practices build that inner strength and detachment needed to truly observe. It’s about building a consistent 'NOTE TO SELF: Practice the art of observing and not absorbing, protect your energy' into your daily routine. Beyond just boundaries, which are so important, I've discovered other ways to protect my energy. Regular nature walks are my absolute go-to for clearing my head and recharging. The natural world has a way of resetting my energetic field. Also, being mindful of who and what I allow into my space, both physically and digitally. It’s okay to mute conversations, unfollow accounts, or politely excuse yourself from situations that consistently drain you. It's not selfish; it's self-preservation. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup, and constantly giving without replenishing yourself will eventually lead to burnout. Learning to observe without absorbing is the first step in ensuring your cup remains full, ready to genuinely connect and serve when you choose to, without depletion.
