Confession timeā¦
I spent Valentineās Day in Miami with the friend who warned me about him.
If it werenāt for her, I wouldāve still been on the street in Austin with no place to go.
She didnāt judge me or say I told you so.
She raged with me.
Then she taught me.
How to let it out.
How to let go.
How to build for myself.
How to take back my life.
He took everything from me. And I allowed it.
Then I took it all back.
I see you quietly keeping it together.
Healing after this is possible. I promise.
If you should need a little help, I got you.
Comment HEAL and Iāll send you what helped me start.
How to get over a break up
Healing after heartbreak
Emotional reset
Becoming her
One of the most profound lessons I learned during my healing journey is the importance of embracing solitudeāsomething beautifully captured in the phrase, "If you have the power to eat alone in a restaurant or sit alone in a cinema, then you can do anything in your life." This idea became a powerful mantra for me, symbolizing strength and self-reliance. When you break up and feel like your world has collapsed, it's tempting to run away from being alone. But learning to be comfortable with solitude is empowering because it allows time for deep reflection and emotional processing. Eating alone or simply sitting alone gives you permission to reconnect with yourself without distractions or judgments. My trip to Miami with a supportive friend who warned me about the person who hurt me was a turning point. Instead of letting bitterness consume me, I allowed myself to fully express the anger and sadness I felt. Having someone who just raged with me, without judgment or "I told you so," allowed me to release pent-up emotions safely. Then came the real workālearning how to let go and rebuild. I started small, setting daily intentions to focus on self-care and personal growth. This wasn't about rushing the healing process but about taking consistent steps toward reclaiming my identity and confidence. If youāre reading this and quietly keeping it together, I want you to know healing is not only possible but within your reach. Sometimes, reaching out and accepting help makes all the difference. For me, having a friend to lean on and encouraging myself daily helped me reset emotionally and eventually thrive. Remember, heartbreak doesn't define youāhow you rise afterward does. You can become stronger and more resilient, just as I am becoming her.
