These 6 coins all came from different rolls in the same Federal Box of 50 rolls . They are all uncirculated business type coins .
The error is the " strike thru grease error " , where the grease that keeps the machinery rolling ,
gets between the coin blank and the dies imprinting surface . Since the grease is a liquid , and it is impossible to compress a liquid , the shape of the grease blobs are imprinted on the coin .
The coin loses no metal in the process and only it's shape has changed . The error does not get larger like a cracked or broken die getting worse , the grease causing the error eventually gets expelled little by little and the errors become lessened .
Like all the error coins I found I stashed them back and didn't report their existence to anyone .
If I had people would have actively looked for them . Now for the most part , the window of opportunity to find uncirculated ones is passing and I dont know if others have been found .
