Spring Shelfie Update🌸✨
I have kids that are 3 1/2 years apart, so figuring out a toy rotation system has been a struggle. Making it accessible for both, keeping it updated for both of their interests, and making sure it’s still safe for my youngest.
So this is our current set up.
We are a “soft Montessori” family. So this has been a learning process for us. But I decided to keep the shelves mostly dedicated to my 10 month old. And then work around a theme for my 4 year old.
My oldest has her table with play dough and tanegrams, along with crayons and a few markers for her worksheets. The basket underneath has her morning basket work - worksheets for writing practice, weather, feelings and the letter of the week. Coloring bookings and a few other workbooks.
Shelves for my 10 month old - The Hungry Caterpillar with an Apple lacing game, shape matching bin, peg board, sensory squares, an Easter basket full of balls, and the bin has bristle blocks.
On top are seasonal books, alphabet flash cards, a cute flower and a sensory book.
On the wall - I added (not pictured) a butterfly life cycle, a seed life cycle print, and our artist study of the week (a girl with a watering can) and our memory work for the week.
