1 week in guangzhou!
guangzhou stole my heart & my tummy 🫶🏼
was here 3rd week of sept & was blessed with decent weather (except the last day scare of typhoon alert)
✨ POPMART & TOYTOY
i went a lil crazy here! bought my full set of dimoo here & some teletubbies & many more!!!!! popmart stores are really everywhere here & i can’t help but step into each store to just browse 👀 toptoy was another gem here!! sadly during this period of time my mr pa series was rly out of stock but the shop still carried many fun display items like maltese & lulu & many more! Definitely worth a drop in (or many many drop in) for anyone who loves cute things 💫

came here for the temple! It was super gorgeous at night with the light up! But otherwise a super busy shopping street! The iconic toptoy outlet is here too!!
📍places to visit: yongqingfang (永庆坊)
i loveddddd this place! Lots of cute art shops that sold postcards & stickers! 🥹 Also went around buying stuff because i rly wanted to collect the stamps that they have at each shop!!! (Remember to bring a stamp book for this!) and the Bruce Lee ancestral house is also located here! free entry!!!! Every corner at yongqingfang is super aesthetic!!!
📍 dongshankou (东山口)
Where the fashion shopping happens!! didn’t get to buy much here but lots of clothing shop here!! we didnt stay here for long as it was super hot!! Everything is outside so its super hot walking around but otherwise i think its a perfect place for a slow afternoon walk with v aesthetically decorated streets!!
🥟 GUANGZHOU IS A FOODIE HEAVEN
Guangzhou = dim sum paradise!! tried the famous Tao Tao Ju (陶陶居) – and it truly lives up to whatever the internet is saying!!! The dimsum available here is a true 10/10!! Another random find at beijinglu area was Zai Qian Men (在前门)! The roast duck here was super crispy, juicy & affordable!

If you're a fan of Pop Mart collectibles like Dimoo or Teletubbies, Guangzhou is truly a shopper's haven. These stores are scattered all over the city, making it easy and exciting to find exclusive items. I highly recommend visiting ToyToy as well; despite some stock shortages during my visit, their displays were inspiring and worth checking out for anyone who loves cute designer toys. Besides shopping, food lovers will find themselves in paradise here. Guangzhou’s dim sum scene is incredible, and Tao Tao Ju lives up to its legendary status with a perfect 10/10 experience. Don’t miss the crispy, juicy roast duck at Zai Qian Men near Beijinglu — a delicious local gem that won’t break the bank. Culturally, the Yongqingfang area is a must-visit for its artistic vibe, beautiful postcards, and sticker shops. Collecting shop stamps is a fun little activity that adds to the adventure (make sure to bring a stamp book!). Its aesthetic streets and the Bruce Lee ancestral house offer a perfect blend of culture and cuteness. For those who enjoy outdoor fashion shopping, Dongshankou is the go-to place, with charming streets and lots of clothing shops. Though it can get quite warm in the day, the atmosphere is laid-back, perfect for an afternoon stroll. Overall, whether you’re drawn by the unique pop culture collectibles or the mouthwatering food, Guangzhou offers a memorable and rich experience that I can’t wait to revisit.
