I came in with very little expectations as to how realistic a VR Gaming experience can be and came in here not only crushing the games but also falling in LOVE with VR.
At Zero Latency in Irving, TX, my friends and I played the game "Outbreak" and it was one of the most fun group experiences. It's a game in which there is a zombie apocalypse and our team must fight zombies to find a potential cure tucked away in a lab. When you put on your VR Goggles and are equipped with a gaming gun, you're guided by a game instructor and then the game begins. You become fully immersed in the "lab" environment and it feels so real that, even though the actual floor was flat, I found myself lifting my legs as if I needed to climb stairs during the VR scenes. At the end when the game was over, we were shown our scores and I was surprisingly one of the highest scorers.
