... Read moreOh my goodness, you guys! After sharing Part 1 of my Korea trip, I just had to tell you more about the second leg of my adventure. Seriously, Seoul is just bursting with incredible experiences! One of the absolute highlights, and truly a must-do for anyone visiting, was renting a Hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace. I mean, how often do you get to literally step back in time and wander through a magnificent palace dressed in such stunning traditional attire? It was an unbelievably perfect day for it – not too hot, not too cold – which made exploring the palace grounds so comfortable. We found a rental shop near the palace entrance, and for just $20, we got to enjoy the full Hanbok experience for two glorious hours. My tip? Don't just walk around; find those iconic spots for photos! The vibrant colors against the ancient architecture are just breathtaking. You'll feel like royalty, I promise! And let’s talk about the food! My taste buds are still doing a happy dance. We stumbled upon this incredible Michelin-starred soup restaurant, and honestly, the sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup) was a game-changer. It was served with this perfectly crispy pancake, and every spoonful was a warm hug. A solid 10 out of 10 recommendation from me! But it wasn't just the fancy meals. We also indulged in some classic Korean delivery on the Han River – pizza, fried chicken, and tteokbokkis. There’s nothing quite like picnicking by the river with delicious food and good company. And for dessert? Those Oreo churros with incredibly milky ice cream were pure bliss. Beyond the food and history, Seoul offers such unique shopping experiences. I couldn't resist visiting the Adidas store in Bukchon – they have so many Seoul-exclusive items you won't find anywhere else. It’s definitely worth checking out if you're into unique streetwear. And speaking of unique finds, my whole family ended up getting these super cool blue elephant sunglasses in Myeongdong. They’re so lightweight and stylish, I’ve been wearing mine almost every day since! It just shows you never know what hidden gems you'll discover while exploring. My Korea trip was truly unforgettable, and I'm already dreaming of going back. From the vibrant streets of Myeongdong, where we even tried Dalgona candy from Squid Game (guess if I survived!), to the serene beauty of the palace, every moment was an adventure. I hope my experiences inspire your next trip!
