Things I want at my Wedding as a soon to be bride
📷 Ring Security: My nephew will be our ring bearer but he always talks about being a police officer or superhero since my brother(his dad is a cop) so i thought it would be cool to make him Ring Security
📷 Kids Table: A good portion of our guest have kids and I don’t want child care to be a reason they don’t come however I also want them to be able to relax, have fun and not have to worry too much about their kids so I’ll have a kids table with activities and snacks for the kids
📷 Shots: I just think it would be fun to have all our guest to take a shot with us(if they want too ofc)
📷 Games: I used to be someone who didn’t dance at weddings because normally I wouldn’t have anyone to dance with and I was always bored out of my mind so I would like to have a few random games for people to play
📷 Beer Pong: I just know our friends would LOVE this and it’s fun so why not?
📷 Photo Booth: I absolutely love photo booths and think it would be a great alternative to favors
📷 After Party: My family is not a party family but we want to go crazy and celebrate our marriage so After Party it is
What is your favorite thing you did at your wedding or something you are excited to do at your wedding?
My initial idea for a kids' table really blossomed into thinking about a full 'Kids Corner.' It's not just about keeping them busy, but truly making them feel special and integrated into the celebration. I've been researching some awesome ideas beyond just coloring books. For instance, creating a themed 'Kids Corner Thanks for coming PARTY ANIMALS' sign, just like I saw in some inspo photos, adds such a cute touch! We're thinking of having a craft station where they can decorate their own little picture frames or even make friendship bracelets. For younger ones, a quiet zone with comfy beanbags and age-appropriate storybooks could be a lifesaver for parents. And for the slightly older kids, maybe a mini scavenger hunt around the venue (with adult supervision, of course!) or some giant lawn games like Jenga or Connect Four could be a hit. The key is variety, so every child finds something they love, making it a truly unforgettable 'party animals' experience for them. Beyond the activities for kids, I've been brainstorming even more ways to make our wedding uniquely 'us' and super fun for all our guests. You know how I mentioned 'Ring Security'? I've seen some adorable ideas for personalized 'RING SECURITY' briefcases or badges that make the little ones feel so important. It's those small, thoughtful touches that guests really remember. For the adults, besides the shots (I love the 'WE TIED THE KNOT. Take a shot!' idea, it's so inviting!), I'm thinking about a signature cocktail bar with unique names related to our journey. And for games, instead of just random ones, perhaps a 'Newlywed Game' or even a 'Wedding Bingo' where guests mark off things they see throughout the night. I'm also really excited about the photo booth – it’s such a fantastic alternative to traditional favors. I'm even considering personalized props or a custom backdrop that reflects our interests. And for the ultimate after-party, think about the setup! Maybe a late-night snack bar with mini pizzas or tacos, a DJ playing throwback hits, and even a comfy lounge area for those who want to chat rather than dance all night. It’s all about creating an atmosphere where everyone, from 'Team Bride' to 'Team Groom', feels completely at ease and ready to celebrate our union in style, capturing 'PHOTOS' and memories all night long.
