Sometimes you have to tell your brain to shut up and keep going. #mom #momsover30 #momswholift #gymmotivation #coretraining
As a mom over 30, I’ve faced countless moments when my body felt like giving up during workouts, especially core training sessions. What really helps me push through is a mental mindset shift—I remind myself of the resilience of characters I admire, like a heroine in a book who survives trials much tougher than mine. If she can make it, so can I. This kind of internal dialogue boosts my motivation immensely. Another tip I’ve found effective is setting small, achievable goals for each workout. Instead of focusing on the entire session, I concentrate on completing the next set or holding a plank for just 10 more seconds. Breaking it down makes the challenge feel more manageable and less overwhelming. I also recommend surrounding yourself with other moms who lift or join online communities with hashtags like #momswholift and #gymmotivation. Sharing progress and encouraging one another helps build accountability and a positive mindset. Lastly, always remind yourself that progress is personal and non-linear. There will be days you feel stronger and days you don’t—and that’s perfectly okay. The important part is to keep going, speak kindly to yourself, and celebrate every small victory along the way.
