Retail Therapy: A Double-Edged Sword
Shopping can be a delightful experience, fulfilling our needs and adding excitement to our lives. However, it can quickly turn into a form of emotional therapy.
When sadness strikes, the urge to shop often follows. The momentary thrill of placing an order fades quickly, replaced by a fleeting sense of satisfaction. By the time the package arrives, the initial excitement has waned, leaving us surprised by our own purchases.
To combat this impulsive behavior, I've adopted a new strategy: a week-long waiting period for items in my cart and a commitment to using what I already own.
