my house is lived in - and I hate it

I HATE cleaning and always have.

I have never been a good cleaner, i’ve always struggled to keep a house clean and don’t even get me started on laundry… because absolutely not. The hallway at the top of my stairs was my laundry pile and I finally got that clean and i’m SO proud!

These pics are after a manic cleaning episode and I refuse to take before pictures 😅🙅🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ (I finally got rid of the futon in my kiddos room. it was a catch all)

I find my self jealous of those girls with the “clean girl aesthetics” because how do yall do that ????

I aspire to be a clean girl and clean mom with a spotless house but that just is not who I am 😕

I need some tips and tricks⬇️⬇️⬇️ Let’s talk!

... Read moreCleaning can often feel overwhelming, especially for those of us who don't naturally have the 'clean girl aesthetic.' It's important to remember that many people share these feelings. Instead of striving for perfection, focus on making small, manageable changes. Setting aside just 10 minutes a day can make a big difference. Try breaking down tasks: tackle one room at a time, or even just focus on specific areas like your laundry pile or the kitchen counter. Additionally, seek motivation from cleaning challenges available online, which can provide both tips and a sense of community. Sharing your cleaning journey through platforms like #cleanbutmessy or #cleaningmotivation can create accountability and support. Don't be afraid to let your friends and followers in on your real-life experiences. They might just surprise you with similar stories or helpful advice! It's also crucial to have the right mindset; instead of viewing cleaning as a chore, try to see it as an opportunity to refresh your space and uplift your mood. Remember, a home doesn't need to be spotless to feel comfortable and welcoming. Everyone's definition of 'clean' looks different. Embrace the chaos and create a living space that reflects your unique life!

I set a schedule to do a little bit everyday. For example, I do a load of laundry everyday. I vacuum every other day (we have 4 animals). Also, my kids are older (12, 10 & 7) so they are responsible for putting their own laundry away, cleaning their bathroom & cleaning up after themselves.
