i think since ive known abt this place abt 4 years ago, ive visited 5-7 times in total. mostly because i stay in boon lay and this is all the way at eunos...
so traveling west to east for a burger is a whole commitment. but every single time i do crave one, i immediately blurt out veganburg 🤏🏼
im not in any means vegan, but i do hate food with an overwhelming amount of flavours or salt 🙅🏻♀️ so tht goes to say... i HATE burgers - other than mcspicy without the sauce or mcdonalds cheeseburger PLAIN. 🥲
the burger i always get here is the shroom burg. the mushroom taste is so clean.. 🍄✨ but u can order it 2 ways. one with the soy patty or the mushroom patty.
the soy hits the hardest for me bc the soy is clean so when the mushroom sauce mixes, u get a balanced taste. 💯 but as for the mushroom patty, i think the mushroom flavour becomes too overwhelming for me.
but up to ur preference tbh. not everyone agrees with my taste, but this is sooooo worth the cross-island trip. even my heavy-palate boyfriend who absolutely dint understand my flavour preference can attest to it 😂
... Read moreAs someone who doesn’t usually identify as vegan but appreciates clean and subtle flavors, Veganburg in Jalan Eunos quickly became my go-to for a satisfying burger experience without the typical overload of salt or heavy sauces. Despite living all the way in Boon Lay, the drive to the east side is something I gladly commit to whenever the craving hits. The appeal is really about the balance and natural taste they achieve, especially with their signature Shroom Burg.
From my experience, the Shroom Burg comes in two patty options: a soy patty and a mushroom patty. I personally prefer the soy patty because it delivers a clean, firm bite that works harmoniously with the mushroom sauce—bringing out a perfect balance without overpowering the palate. The mushroom patty, while packed with umami, can feel a bit intense if you’re like me and prefer lighter flavors. That said, everyone’s taste buds are different, and some of my companions truly love the richness of the mushroom patty.
One aspect that stands out at Veganburg is the thoughtfulness behind each ingredient. The patties are paired with gluten-free buns and fresh toppings, designed to keep the flavors wholesome and natural. I also appreciate the option of adding side dishes or upgrading to a meal, which includes tasty sides like sizzlin’ broccoli and fries, enhancing the overall dining experience.
What’s particularly impressive is how Veganburg manages to captivate even heavy-palate eaters. My boyfriend, who usually prefers more pungent and heavily seasoned foods, has admitted that he enjoyed their offerings much more than anticipated. This speaks volumes about Veganburg’s ability to satisfy diverse taste preferences without relying on artificial flavor boosters.
Aside from the food quality, Veganburg boasts a strong reputation in the local vegan food scene, with a high rating and positive reviews highlighting its consistency and flavor. The atmosphere and service complement the food, making it a pleasant visit despite the distance.
In summary, whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply someone looking to enjoy a burger free from overwhelming flavors, Veganburg Jalan Eunos is a hidden gem that’s well worth the cross-island journey. The clean mushroom and soy patties provide a refreshing alternative to conventional burgers, leaving you craving your next visit just like I do. So next time you find yourself debating where to eat, give Veganburg a try—you might just rediscover your love for burgers in a whole new way.
