About Me

... Read moreStepping onto the track for the first time, I felt an exhilarating rush that instantly captivated me. It was more than just speed; it was a symphony of precision, strategy, and pure adrenaline. My journey began with go-karts at the tender age of 12, a decision that truly shaped my life's path. Those early days of karting weren't just about learning how to drive fast; they were about understanding the physics of racing, the art of the perfect turn, and the importance of consistent practice. Every weekend was a new lesson, a new challenge, and an opportunity to push my limits. I still remember the thrill of my first competitive race, the butterflies in my stomach, and the sheer joy of crossing the finish line. As I grew, so did my ambitions. The world of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) beckoned, offering a more advanced and intense level of competition. Transitioning from karts to full-sized race cars was a significant leap. It meant mastering new vehicle dynamics, understanding complex regulations, and adapting to a much faster pace. My trusty 1986 Mazda RX7, number 96, became an extension of myself on the track. There’s something incredibly special about tuning a car, understanding its every nuance, and then pushing it to its absolute limits. Wearing my OMP suit, adorned with sponsor logos, felt like donning armor before heading into battle. Each race was a testament to countless hours of preparation, both in the garage and mentally. Being a woman in motorsports has its unique challenges and triumphs. There's a certain determination that builds when you're often one of the few women on the grid. But it's also incredibly rewarding to inspire others and prove that passion and skill know no gender. I've been fortunate enough to achieve several championships between 2012 and 2019, moments that I cherish deeply. Each trophy represents not just a win, but a journey of perseverance, teamwork, and unwavering dedication. It’s about those early mornings, the late nights, the mechanical setbacks, and the glorious moments of victory. For anyone dreaming of entering the racing world, whether it's karting or SCCA, my biggest advice is to start small, learn relentlessly, and never give up. Find a mentor, join a local club, and immerse yourself in the community. The racing family is incredibly supportive, and there are endless opportunities to learn and grow. It's a demanding sport, both physically and mentally, but the rewards—the camaraderie, the personal growth, and the sheer thrill of competition—are immeasurable. Every time I strap into the cockpit, I'm reminded of why I started and the incredible journey I'm on. It’s more than a hobby; it’s a way of life, filled with speed, passion, and the endless pursuit of perfection on the track.
