It’s already been quite a journey…

So let’s just start with this: I was hit by a car my senior year of college. I thought I was fine afterward so I literally just went about my day and the rest of my semester without seeking medical attention. Fast forward a few months, I tried to go about my life, weight training & attending my dance classes. Suddenly, my hip (on the side that I got hit) completely gives out and can no longer do anything: couldn’t walk, lay down, stand, or sit without being in excruciating pain and needing assistance. I was bedridden and required assistance for a couple of months. All I could do lay there, eat, and sleep. I gained ~20lb because of this (a rough estimate). Not only am I just not happy with how I look anymore, but none of my clothes fit AND it’s effecting my ability in dance classes & auditions.

I’m trying not to have a “goal weight” but I do, at the very least, want to lose the ~20lb I gained from my injury. My partner, similarly, is so unhappy with the weight he gained; he became so enthralled in running our businesses and taking care of me, he completely neglected himself. so we’re in this together!

The calorie deficit and eating clean is the easiest part tbh. I love cooking, and I’ve always been a healthy person when it comes to good (at the annoyance of my southern ass family lol). I actually find most of my recipes here on #Lemon8 and instagram!

I’m not really sure how to close this out, so I share your thoughts! Any recipe suggestions? Workouts to try?
