this week’s meal prep (for beginners, like myself)
Hi everyone! This is week 2 for my meal prep and I decided to make two of my favorite dishes. I made Spinach Feta Pasta 🍝 and Vegetable Stir Fry🍛 with some green veggies on the side (green beans and brussel sprouts).
Typically I also pack fruit 🍎🍍🍉, some sort of pretzel thins/100 calorie snack 🥨, and a pack of gushers 💦(my favorite part lmao) in my lunch. I also treat myself to a Diet Coke haha!!🥤
so far so good with the meal prepping. definitely saving me time and money by not eating out consistently, especially while being on my full time internship! If anyone has any suggestions or tips, please feel free to comment those below ⬇️🍽️🥰
Meal prepping is a fantastic approach for beginners looking to manage their time and budget while enjoying nutritious meals. This week, I prepared Spinach Feta Pasta, a delightful dish packed with flavors and nutrients. Made primarily with fresh spinach and feta cheese, it’s loaded with vitamins A and K, promoting eye health and supporting bone density. Pairing it with sautéed green beans not only adds texture but also boosts the meal's fiber content, aiding digestion. In addition to my pasta, I made a vibrant Vegetable Stir Fry. This dish is a versatile option, allowing you to incorporate seasonal vegetables that are rich in antioxidants. Roasting the brussel sprouts with teriyaki sauce gives them a sweet and savory flavor that pairs beautifully with any grain. It's a fantastic way to enjoy a variety of vegetables in one compact meal. Packing fruits like apples and pineapple is a smart choice to satisfy sweet cravings while providing essential vitamins and hydration. Moreover, including healthy snacks such as pretzel thins ensures you have a balanced diet throughout the day. It’s all about planning and enjoying your food! For those busy with internships or jobs, meal prepping not only saves you from frequent takeout but also helps maintain a healthy lifestyle. Feel free to share your meal prep experiences or ask for tips in the comments!
