I have ZERO ring regrets 💍 IN LOVE 🥰

Hey girlies!!

I’m beyond excited to be entering my fiancé era and honestly, choosing the ring was the BEST. 🥰

My fiancé is someone who has great attention to detail but I realised we had different tastes in rings. Knowing that this was a piece I would be wearing for a lifetime, I wanted to be super sure I liked it - so my fiancé and I agreed to shop together and I’m glad I did cause the final result was so different from what we had in mind.

💍 Our process was:

1. Try out different styles and lock down the cut of main diamond (I got marquise)

2. Look at pricing of different shops

3. Send him inspo pics of styles I like (vintage, classy) and leave him to decide the rest!

I am super in love with my ring 😍

At the start, it was really confusing cause there are so many engagement ring styles and all are so pretty!! 🤩

I tried on the classic round diamond and realised that it didn’t suit my finger as well as elongated shapes like the oval or marquise. (Which who would have known if I didn’t try it on?) I also realised then that I wanted a super unique ring and I didn’t want to have the same design as another friend.

👋👋👋

The whole process took 2-3 months for me but I also spent quite long deciding between the oval and marquise.

I would recommend visiting ring shops that let you try on different styles and have a wide selection like Micheal Trio, iPrimo, Love and Co and LeCaine Gems (if you’re looking for Moissanite rings they have soo many).

We also visited diamond atelier which has complimentary gallery rail diamonds included! Then, I went to the more bespoke jewellers, whom would require you to have an idea of what you want already to custom make, which is why you should go to the other stores first. 😆

However, I ultimately fell in love with the service and specials cuts at Jann Paul, which is why my ring is shinier than the average marquise.

The ring also features a lotus cathedral setting, adding to the vintage feel. My only gripe is that I might have considered a bezel setting like Taylor Swift, as it’s more comfy for everyday wear. But I’m slowly getting used to it and have no regrets.

My fiancé also chose the kite diamonds at the side which further added to the uniqueness of the ring - exactly what I wanted!

Can’t wait to go wedding band shopping next ✨

Xoxo,

Chloe

... Read moreWhen it comes to selecting an engagement ring that truly stands out, especially a marquise diamond, I learned how important it is to explore various jewelers and their collections. Besides well-known stores, boutique jewelers like Jann Paul offer special cuts that add extra sparkle and uniqueness to your ring, making it worth trying multiple shops. Marquise diamonds have a special charm—they not only elongate the finger but also carry romantic historical significance. The vintage lotus cathedral setting of my ring paired beautifully with the kite-shaped side diamonds, which enhanced the overall uniqueness I was after. For others considering their options, I’d highly recommend researching settings as well, since comfort matters too; for example, bezel settings are really cozy for everyday wear. For anyone planning a proposal with a unique ring, don’t rush. Spend time trying on different shapes—oval and marquise shapes can look surprisingly different on your hand compared to the classic round cut. Share inspiration pics with your partner, and shop together to blend your styles into a meaningful symbol of your relationship. Lastly, keep in mind that the ring journey is personal and can take months. It’s okay to take your time deciding between designs and cuts until you find the one that feels just right for you and your love story.
