Poco sabía yo de los incontables cambios que traería a mi vida esta nueva aventura. Cambios que llegaron envueltos en asombro, felicidad, pero también en duda, lágrimas, añoranza y silenciosos cuestionamientos. Y, aun así, decidí recibir con los brazos abiertos TODO lo que estuviera por venir. Dejé ir mi propia idea de cómo sería mi vida en este nuevo país y me aferré a mirar con ojos de propósito cada paso, cada obstáculo y cada sorpresa del camino.
Desde entonces he vuelto varias veces a mi tierrita. Pero cada vez que regreso ya no soy la misma. A veces me siento un poco ajena, como si parte de mí se hubiera quedado en otro tiempo, en otra versión de mí misma que ya ni siquiera existe. Pensar en Colombia 🇨🇴 me trae una nostalgia que cala hondo, porque no es solo extrañar un lugar… es extrañar un olor, una risa, un abrazo, un “buenos días” dicho con acento paisa, acento de hogar.
A ti, que también dejaste tu tierra buscando sueños, te abrazo con el alma. Sé lo que se siente caminar con el corazón partido en dos países, aprender a ser fuerte cuando lo único que quieres es volver, y reinventarte una y otra vez hasta encontrar tu lugar. No estamos solos. Somos millones llevando nuestra patria en el pecho, sembrando pedacitos de ella en cada rincón donde la vida nos ponga, batallando en silencio, y demostrando que la distancia nunca podrá borrar de dónde venimos ni quiénes somos.
