This is me.
Not the highlight reel.
Not the version that always has it together.
Just me… still standing.
I’ve been through things I don’t talk about out loud.
Things that shaped me before I even understood what strength was.
I learned early how to survive, how to smile through discomfort, how to carry weight that was never meant for my hands. I’ve cried in silence so many times that tears became familiar, like an old language only my heart could speak.
There were seasons where I felt invisible. Seasons where I questioned my worth, my purpose, my voice. I’ve been misunderstood, overlooked, and underestimated. I’ve had to rebuild myself from pieces I didn’t break. I’ve had to unlearn habits that kept me safe once but small later. And I’ve had to forgive others and myself more times than I can count.
I am a woman who has felt pain deeply.
But I am also a woman who loves deeply.
Who believes in healing.
Who believes in God even when the road didn’t make sense.
Who kept going even when stopping would’ve been easier.
I’ve lost parts of myself…
and I’ve found parts of myself I didn’t know existed.
I am learning that softness is not weakness.
That setting boundaries is self-respect.
That growth is uncomfortable, lonely, and necessary.
That peace sometimes requires walking away without closure.
And that choosing myself is not selfish it’s survival.
Every scar tells a story.
Every tear watered something new.
Every setback taught me how to stand firmer.
I’m still healing.
Still growing.
Still becoming.
But I’m proud of the woman in this picture.
Proud of how far she’s come.
Proud of the mother she is.
Proud of the heart she protects now.
Proud of the way she keeps choosing light, even after darkness tried to convince her otherwise.
This selfie isn’t about perfection.
It’s about presence.
It’s about honoring the journey.
It’s about saying: I survived. I’m here. And I’m not done yet.
