It’s been a ✨while✨!! Needed some space 🚀

Hey everyone,

It’s been a whileeeee since I posted on here. I’ve been struggling a lot lately with depression. I haven’t had the motivation to clean, cook, or even shower. Living with manic depression can be so overwhelming. Medication made me feel empty and emotionless, so I stopped taking it. Since then, I’ve been searching for something that works, but I haven’t found it yet.

Anywayyyyy, today I decided to power clean. I washed the sheets, did the laundry and dishes, and tried to make sure I didn’t overload myself. It’s a reminder to keep pushing through. You can have a bad day, week, or even month, but as long as you push through to the next day, that’s all that matters.

Everyone’s mess looks different. This is just the little bit left in my room. 😅 trust me, 3 kids and husband it’s gets worse. So much worse. 😭

If you feel like just laying in bed or on the couch, do it. It’s okay to take some you time. Don’t drown yourself in trying to do too much today; there’s always tomorrow.

P.S. Can you see that Mr. Kitty found himself a comfortable spot? 😅

... Read moreLiving with depression is a challenge that many people face, and it's vital to recognize the multiple forms it can take. Maintaining a clean and organized space can significantly impact your mental health, as it encourages a sense of control and peace. Studies show that clutter in our environments can lead to increased stress and anxiety, compounding the feelings of being overwhelmed, especially for those navigating mental health challenges. Incorporating self-care practices, such as creating a cleaning routine, can foster a healthier mindset. It's also important to remember the significance of seeking professional help. Medication can work wonders, but it might take time to find the right fit that works for you. Support groups and therapy offer opportunities for connection and shared experiences. Engaging in communities—whether online or in person—can help alleviate feelings of isolation and promote healing. Additionally, indulging in hobbies or activities you love can provide a necessary distraction from negative thoughts. Actionable steps, no matter how small, can pave the way for progress on your mental health journey. Always remember to celebrate the little victories; each step forward counts on this path to recovery.
