Bruschetta: A Timeless Appetizer
Ingredients:
• 1 baguette or Italian bread, sliced
• 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Topping:
• In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar (if using), salt, and pepper.
• Mix well and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
2. Toast the Bread:
• Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
• Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil.
• Bake for 5–7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
3. Assemble the Bruschetta:
• Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted bread slices.
• Serve immediately and enjoy!
