CHRIST OUR TREASURE!!! 1 JOHN 5

Today my friend I met when we were getting bloodwork, sent me a picture of our Country's Flag!!! The red stripes had my favorite Scripture on them, first I should say I thought of this Scripture coming out of a store a couple of days ago!!! I kept thinking about it until I mindly saw the whole Scripture in 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from!!! But I know God wants me to feed on this Scripture more than clothe myself in it, then encourage others with His words!!! Jesus is our treasure, Who bestowed on us He generously through His Sacrificial death!!! Thank you my Sister Lisa for letting God use you to feed me, in Jesus Christ's unselfish suffering for our redemption!!!

1 JOHN 5:6 This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

... Read moreThe message from 1 John 5:6-13 underscores the essential Christian belief in Jesus Christ as the source of eternal life, emphasizing the combined testimony of water, blood, and the Spirit. This passage highlights the divine affirmation of Jesus' sacrificial death and resurrection, which stands as the core testament to God's love and redemption. The water and blood reference often relates to Jesus' baptism and crucifixion, symbolizing purification and sacrifice, while the Spirit testifies to the truth of these events. In addition to the scriptural reflection found in 1 John 5, the related verse 2 Chronicles 7:14 calls for humility, prayer, and turning away from wickedness to receive God's mercy and healing. This call echoes the ongoing need for personal and communal repentance in the Christian faith. The integration of these scriptures reminds believers of the continuous journey of faith, redemption, and spiritual growth. Moreover, the testimony "God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son" (1 John 5:11) is significant as it assures believers of the promise and assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. This assurance is central to Christian hope and motivation for living a life aligned with God's will. For those seeking to deepen their understanding, meditating on these scriptures can provide spiritual encouragement and a renewed perspective on the significance of Jesus' sacrifice. Reflecting on the unity of the Spirit, water, and blood encourages believers to trust fully in the completeness of God's plan for salvation. Additionally, this passage invites active participation in faith through prayer and humility, fostering a relationship with God that goes beyond knowledge to heartfelt obedience and transformation. Nourishing oneself with Scripture and encouraging others with God’s words enriches the Christian community and individual spiritual journeys, reinforcing that Christ is indeed our treasure, the source of true life and hope.
