👗 Bridal Gowns: S$380 Gowns (May ‘26)
4 gowns I tried on…
…and the one I eventually chose.

My criteria for gowns was straightforward:
1️⃣ Affordable.
Your girl here didn’t want to spend upwards of $500 for gowns apiece. As long as the gown looked relatively bridal, I was willing to consider it.
After all, you know what they say, it’s not the clothing, but it’s the wearer who makes the look.
😉
2️⃣ Convenient.
I didn’t visit many bridal shops. I only went to 3.
The search for a perfect gown will never end, so I decided to prioritise affordability and convenience over finding the elusive “the one”.
I didn’t want to take going to take multiple AL days just to visit bridal studios.
3️⃣ Minimalist, or rather, appropriate for a more casual setting.
Our wedding wasn’t going to be held in a ballroom, so I didn’t need or want full length ballgowns.
Overly dressy pieces may have looked out of place at our chosen venue, which was The Alkaff Mansion.

The Aurora Wedding is a pretty affordable option for gowns and other wedding inclusions. I liked that they are very transparent in their offerings - you can actually browse through their collection on their website before deciding whether to even consider them as an option. They are also very responsive when replying to queries on WhatsApp.
What I didn’t like, however, were their decisive pricing tactics, where they claimed that rates would be revised at the end of the month. I went to verify this claim by requesting for a proposal the next month, and found that their rates were still the same, at $380 per gown.
Anyway, although I found many of their gown options rather unimpressive and dated, I found a gown I immediately fell in love with (last image), which became my 2nd outfit change.
(It was pretty loose on me on my AD, though, but this was on me as I had apparently lost more weight in the 2-week window between gown fitting and my AD.)
